Do You Have a Question?

What is an assisted living home?

An assisted living home is a residential group home for seniors who require assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as feeding, grooming, toileting, bathing, housekeeping, laundry, and medication management.

What is the difference between an assisted living home and a nursing home?

Residents in an assisted living home do not require 24-hour continuous nursing services. However, certified caregivers are always on-site to provide flexible and personalized care and assistance with ADLs.

How do I know the assisted living home will be a good fit for my loved one?

It may or may not be.  We encourage you to call and schedule an appointment for a tour of the facility and to meet with our friendly staff.

Do I have to sign a minimum of a one-year contract?

No, our contracts are month-to-month.  We also offer shorter term respite care as well. Respite is defined as 30 calendar days or less.

Will you be providing meals?

Yes, our residents will be provided with three nutritious meals per day with snacks in between. Each resident’s food preferences are taken into consideration. Residents will also be encouraged to assist staff with menu planning.

Can I bring my own furniture and personal items?

Yes, although we provide furnished rooms, residents may choose to bring their own furniture and personal items if they wish as long as they do not present any safety or health concerns.

Do you provide transportation to and from appointments for your residents?

No. If family members are not available, facility will contact transport services for a fee to be paid by the resident or resident representative. It is family’s responsibility to arrange for a companion to accompany resident, if resident requires due to health and/or safety needs. For non-hospice residents, 911 will be called for medical emergencies and family notified. Facility staff is not expected to leave facility premises and accompany resident to the hospital.
